Pakora पकोड़ा - Shashi
Ingredients
- 1 cup Gram flour
Dried spices
- ½ tsp Red chili powder
- ½ tsp Coriander powder
- 1 pinch Fennel seeds
- 1 pinch Oregano seeds
- 1 pinch Garam Masala
- ½ tsp Salt
Grind in a mortar and pestle
- 4 cloves Garlic
- ½ inch Ginger
- 1 handful Fresh coriander leaves chopped
- ½ cup Water
- 2 Potato sliced
- 2 Onion sliced
Instructions
- Heat the oil for frying.
- Put the gram flour in a bowl and mix with all the dried spices. Add the fresh coriander.
- Slowly add the water to the bowl, mixing while you go. The final consistency should be fairly dropping.
- Combine the potato and onions to the wet mixture.
- Add 2 tbsp of the hot oil to the mix.
- Add the slices to the oil. Make sure to not overcrowd the pan.
- Turn the Pakora often (30 seconds) until they are browned.
- When brown, remove from heat. Continue until the mix is done.
- DONE!
Notes
Whole chili can also be used.
