Pizza Dough

Ingredients
Yeast Mix
- ½ cup Warm Water 40C
- 2 ¼ tsp Active Dry Yeast 1 packet of yeast
- 2 ¼ tsp Sugar
Dry Ingredients
- 4 Cups Bread Flour 00 Flour
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder optional
Wet Ingredients
- 1 cup Warm Water
- ¼ Cup Olive Oil
For resting
- Olive Oil
Instructions
- Prepare the yeast mix. Let rest for 5-10 minutes, until a thick layer of foam develops on top
- While you wait for the yeast, prepare the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl.
- Add yeast mix and wet ingredients to the mixing bowl.
- Mix slowly until it forms a ball, around 1-2 minutes. (Speed 2-3)
- Knead for 5-8 minutes, until a smooth dough ball is formed. (Speed 6)
- Take dough out of mixing bowl, grease the bowl with olive oil.
- Form dough into a tight ball and place into mixing bowl. Coat outside of dough ball with olive oil to prevent a skin from forming on the ball.
- Cover mixing bowl with a kitchen towel or plastic wrap and let the dough rise until double in size. (usually 1 hour)
- After dough has doubled in size, punch the dough down, cover it once again and let it rise a 2nd time.
- After the 2nd rising, your pizza dough is ready to be used to make pizza crust.
- DONE!
